The health and well-being of our clients and customers during these times is paramount. As we navigate through this abnormal time, we want to assure you that as a designated essential services provider, we have adopted the safest, best practices and protocols recommended by health officials for our industry during the pandemic alert.

We want to help you cope and stay safe while you engage in any real estate related activity. That includes adopting safe and healthy procedures for listing, showing and selling your home or guiding you through safe property showings to find your next, best home.

Although we are equipping our seller clients with marketing tools that include virtual video tours to safely market their properties to prospective buyers, below are many of the examples of the best practices, procedures, guidelines and protocols that we are actively adopting to provide the safest real estate experience once buyers decide to take a closer look by physically attending a pre-scheduled viewing.

We are proud to offer these practices and guidelines along with our member colleagues so that Manitobans will gain confidence that they can stay safe while carrying out their real estate related activities.

As we work together with our business Partners during this challenging time, we would like to extend our support and sincere gratitude to all of the frontline workers for their selfless acts of kindness and their dedication to the health and well-being of us all as brothers and sisters in this fight. Thank you so very much for your service and may God bless.

As a professional REALTOR®, I am focused on the safety, health and wellness of you and your family during the selling process of your home.

During this unprecedented period, we will require that the following list of best practices be adhered to by other REALTORS® and their clients while showing your property:

  • We will require them and those they have been in contact with to confirm whether they have recently travelled internationally or are experiencing any cold or flu-like systems, and if so, we will ask that their showing request be rescheduled for a later date.

  • REALTORS® will be asked to limit the number of people attending a showing. They will guide their client(s) through your home restricting the physical touching of items.

  • REALTORS® will direct their clients room by room and ensure they are appropriately spacing individuals as a means of physical distancing.

  • REALTORS® will ask their clients to refrain from using the bathroom, if at all possible, but I recommend that you provide disposable towels/napkins, as well as soap in all bathrooms.

  • Before and after a showing, I recommend you disinfect commonly touched areas such as doorknobs cupboards, countertops and faucet handles.

We are focused on the safety, health and wellness of all individuals during this unprecedented period and wish to share best practices that have been adopted to guide you through this property.

    • We kindly ask that if you, or anyone you have recently been in contact with, has recently travelled internationally or is experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, to please reschedule this showing.

    • Please limit physically touching any items within this property.

    • Kindly refrain from using the bathroom, but if necessary, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using hot water, soap and the disposable hand towels that have been supplied.

Thank you for helping us all stay safe, and please enjoy your showing

COVID-19: New Measures on OPEN HOUSES

As you may be aware, the Province of Manitoba recently announced its multi-phased plan to gradually restore services and open some businesses while maintaining social distancing.

The boards of The Manitoba Real Estate Association, WinnipegREALTORS® and Brandon Area REALTORS® consulted on open house showings and are collectively recommended new measures for conducting open houses.

While this is not a return to ‘business as usual’, we wish to provide Manitoba REALTORS® who choose to host open houses as part of their business practice with recommended measures to ensure the safety of clients, the public and to minimize risks associated with spreading the virus.
